Harwich Town Council strongly objects to this application in its current form, for the following reasons:

 

The council are sympathetic to the need and requirement for local social housing but believe this to be an over development of the site.

 

In contradiction of the requirements set out in the emerging new local plan, with no possibility of on street parking, insufficient provision has been made for adequate resident and visitor parking which allows for 2 vehicle spaces per household.

 

No provision has been made for immediate or future allowance of any greenspace or outside amenity space for residents.

 

As highlighted by the Police services report, the design of the application allows for certain areas to be overly secluded and unable to be visually patrolled, allowing for the possibility of antisocial or criminal behaviour.
