MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF HARWICH TOWN COUNCIL PLANNING COMMITTEE
HELD ON 13th OCTOBER 2010 at 6.30pm
at 1912 CENTRE, COW LANE, HARWICH

P37/10 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Apologies for absence were received from Councillors B Howlett and S Tyrer.

P38/10 DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS’ INTERESTS
Councillors J Brown, D McLeod and D Rutson declared they are members of Tendring District Council’s Development and Control Committee. Councillor G Calver declared a personal interesting Minute P41/10.

P39/10 MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING
RESOLVED: that the minutes of the meeting held on 22nd September 2010 (previously circulated) be approved by the Vice Chairman and signed as a true record.

P40/10 PLANNING APPLICATIONS
The Committee considered a schedule of planning applications for weeks ending 17th September, 24th September and 1st October 2010.
RESOLVED: that the recommendations of Appendix ‘A’ are submitted to Tendring District Council.

P41/10 10/01077/FUL – FLYING TRADE GROUP, 1 MIDLAND ROAD, DOVERCOURT RETROSPECTIVE CHANGE OF USE
Application 10/01077/FUL was Retrospective change of use from Sandwich Shop to Pizza Takeaway. Councillor G Calver declared a personal interest and asked the Chairman if he could speak after the vote as he had pre-determined his position at
Tendring District Council.

The Committee had no objections to the change of use. The Council’s decision was to support the change of use, RESOLVED: that Councillor Calver would, on behalf of Harwich Town Council, insist that the application goes to Committee at Tendring District Council and ask for more flexibility on business applications in Harwich.

P42/10 DATE OF THE NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of the Town Planning Committee will be held on 3rd November, 2010 at 6.30pm at the 1912 Centre, Cow Lane, Harwich.

The Chairman closed the meeting at 6.50pm
