Public Question Time:
Betty Holbrook asked members to seriously consider the planning application 14/01762/FUL for Ms Monahan.  She’s very professional and the project would be good for the community.

P092/14 MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING
RESOLVED that the minutes of the Town Planning meeting held on Wednesday 23rd December 2014 (previously circulated) be approved by the Committee and signed by the Chairman as a true record.

P095/14 PLANNING APPLICATIONS
The Committee considered a schedule of planning applications for weeks ending 26th December, 2nd January and 9th January.
RESOLVED: Recommendations in Appendix ‘A’ be submitted to Tendring District Council.
P096/14 MATTERS RECEIVED IN THE POST OR RAISED BY MEMBERS

  • The Clerk provided notification of the refusal of application 14/01488/FUL – Subdivide a single dwelling to two 3 bedroom houses and front porch – 436 Main Road.  Harwich Town Council had no objection.
  • The Clerk gave notification of the approval of application 14/01552/OUT –Proposed residential development to provide 6 detached dwellings – Former Red Cross Centre, Manor Lane, Dovercourt.  Cllr Day raised concern on this but reminded members that it was an outline application and we should keep our eye on this as it develops further into a full application.
  • The Clerk informed members of an appeal of a refusal of a planning application 14/00464/FUL – Cllr J Henderson agrees HTC’s stance should remain as ‘No Objection’ as she feels the reasons for refusal (overshadowing) were not consistent with other applications.

The next Town Planning meeting will be held at the 1912 Centre, Cow Lane, Harwich on Wednesday 4th February 2015 at 6.30pm.

The Chairman closed the meeting at 6.45pm
