RESOLVED that the minutes of the Town Planning meeting held on Wednesday 12th November 2014 (previously circulated) be approved by the Committee and signed by the Chairman as a true record.

Cllr Morrison referred to the previously approved planning application for the Asda Petrol Station, and the conditions that HTC submitted regarding drainage of the surface water and the potential for contamination of the neighbouring nature reserve.  She recalled that HTC had submitted further concerns over an application for those conditions to be discharged and asked if a response had been received to which the Clerk confirmed not and agreed to chase this up.

The Committee considered a schedule of planning applications for weeks ending 14th November, 21st November and 28th November.
RESOLVED: Recommendations in Appendix ‘A’ be submitted to Tendring District Council.

  •  Members noted an application 14/01628/TELLIC – The proposed works are for the replacement of the existing 15m mast with new 15m mast, capable of housing the required multiband antennas.  Associated with this mast upgrade is the installation of a replacement Lancaster cabinet following the removal of the existing equipment cabinet and development works ancillary there to – Telephone Mast Site 38037 Stour Road, Harwich. FOR INFORMATION ONLY
  • Members considered submitting comments on the above proposal direct to Galliford Try and RESOLVED: Not to submit comments
  • Members noted an application 14/01659/FUL – Replacement of 3 no. existing antennas with 6 no. new antennas, the installation of additional radio equipment within the existing equipment and development works – Dovercourt Water Tower, Fronks Road, Dovercourt. FOR INFORMATION ONLY
  • Members noted a revised description of application 14/01601/FUL to Single storey side and rear extension.  The Clerk confirmed that the plans were unchanged and the original HTC comment was ‘No Objection’.
  • Members noted an approval of application 13/01402/FUL – Proposed extra care apartment block comprising of 46 single bed apartments and 12 two bed apartments together with the erection of a 12 unit learning disability apartment block.
  • Members noted an approval of application 14/01264/FUL – in relation to Dovercourt Hall and approval of advertisement consent for application 14/01376/ADV – in relation to the Goodlife Guest House
