MINUTES of the Meeting of the Planning Committee
held at The Guildhall, Church Street, Harwich
on Wednesday, 25th January 2012 @ 6.30pm

P071/11 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Apologies received from Cllrs O’Neill, Thompson, Day, Double and I Henderson.
P072/11 DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS’ INTERESTS
Cllr McLeod as member of the TDC Planning Committee.
P073/11 MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING
RESOLVED: that the minutes of the Town Planning meeting held on 4th January 2012 (previously circulated) be approved by the Committee and signed by the Chairman as a true record.
P074/11 PLANNING APPLICATIONS
The Committee considered a schedule of planning applications for weeks ending 23rd December, 30th December, 6th January and 13th January.RESOLVED: Recommendations in Appendix ‘A’ be submitted to Tendring District Council.
P075/11 TPO – LAND ADJACENT TO WEST END LANE, DOVERCOURT
Responsibility for maintenance of the trees in the relation to the TPO was noted.
P076/11 BATHSIDE BAY
Councillors discussed representations received in relation to the Bathside Bay application. Members felt that TDC had made their position clear but wished to delegate the authority to Cllr I Henderson to make further representation on HTC’s behalf if necessary.
RESOLVED: Cllr I Henderson to liaise with Cllrs Brown, R Callender and Thurlow and make further representation on HTC’s behalf if necessary.
P077/11 ITEMS RAISED BY MEMBERS
Departure of Phil Hornby – Conservation & Heritage Officer – TDC
Councillors wished to thank Mr Hornby for his services over the past 30 years and raised concerns with the lack of details for a new contact.
P078/11 DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The next Town Planning meeting will be held at the 1912 Centre, Cow Lane, Harwich, on 15th February 2012 at 6.30pm.

The Chairman closed the meeting at 7.14pm

No objection. HTC welcome TDC investing money to improve and modernise facilities.
