Get great deals and help Tendring businesses with click it local

Shoppers looking for great deals and locally-made products are urged to try a new online shopping platform.

Click It Local (clickitlocal.co.uk/tendring) lets you browse independent shops from right across Essex and buy products in a single purchase – getting them delivered to your door on the same day.

As part of its Back to Business programme and to help small businesses, Tendring District Council (TDC) is supporting the scheme so local firms can sign up to use the site for free until October.

Steve Koch, Click It Local founder, said: “I love shopping locally so wanted to find a way to help small shops offer the same level of speed and convenience that today’s online customers have come to expect.

“Our aim is to ensure we can all continue to shop local, support independent shops and provide for the local community.”

From weekly food essentials, gifts, and treats to last-minute basics, customers can buy everything they need from as many different shops as they like with one payment and one delivery. There are some amazing local businesses on board already – from your local butchers, fishmongers, florists, gift shops, and many more.

In Tendring businesses signed up so far include: Bags & More; East Coast Distillery; Fleurs du Coeur; Hobsons Deli; Little Boat Gifts; Small Town Brownies – and many more.

Mary Newton, TDC Cabinet Member for Business and Economic Growth, urged both shoppers and businesses to sign up.

“Help spread the word and support the local businesses you love by recommending your favourite local firms sign up – and support them by going on to Click It Local and spending away,” Cllr Newton said.
