The Mayor announced that an emergency Part B item would be taken at the
end of the meeting.
109/10 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Apologies for absence were received from Councillors B Howlett, M Gardner,
P Burke, A Morrison and R Callender, G Calver, A Colbourne.
110/10 DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS’ INTERESTS

111/10 MINUTES OF THE LAST FINANCE AND GENERAL PURPOSES MEETING
RESOLVED: that the minutes of the Finance and General Purposes Committee
meeting held on 18th November 2010 (previously circulated) be approved by the
Chairman and signed as a true record.

112/10 BUDGET/PRECEPT 2011/2012
The Committee considered estimates of expenditure and income for the financial
year 2011/2012. RESOLVED: to recommend that the council precept on
Tendring District Council for £188,279 based on a summary of the detailed
figures in Appendix A which would have an impact of £32.25/annum to a Band
D council tax payer based on a tax base of 5839 (equivalent to an increase of less
than 6p per week/per tax payer).
It was agreed the £17,000 increase on the precept is to cover the £20,000 one off
grant payment to the Electric Palace.

113/10 DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of Harwich Town Council will be held on 5th January 2011 at
The 1912 Centre, Cow Lane, Harwich at 7.00pm, or at the rise of the Town
Planning Committee, whichever is the later.
The Chairman closed the meeting at 8.00 pm.
