F31/09 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Burke and Gardner.

F32/09 DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS’ INTERESTS
Councillor Double declared a prejudicial interest regarding Item 6 – The Ark Centre request for grant funding. Councillor Calver declared a personal interest in Item 6 – Harwich in Bloom request for grant
funding.

F33/09 MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING
RESOLVED: that the minutes of the meeting held on 25th November 2009 (previously circulated) be approved by the Chairman and signed as a true record.

F34/09 HARWICH FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS TRUST
Request for grant funding of £2500 to support the annual Harwich Festival of the Arts.
RESOLVED: to grant s.137 funding of £2500

F35/09 THE ARK CENTRE
Request for grant funding of £1200 towards costs of specialised sensory equipment and ‘play and learn’ toys to support children with special needs.
RESOLVED: to recommend s.137 funding of £1200

F36/09 HARWICH IN BLOOM
Request for grant funding of £1200 towards the Harwich in Bloom Scheme.
RESOLVED: to grant s.137 funding of £1200

F37/09 HARWICH SHANTY FESTIVAL
Request for grant funding of £500 towards the advertising and publicity of the annual Harwich Shanty Festival.
RESOLVED: to recommend s.137 funding of £500

F38/09 FRIENDS OF ESPLANADE HALL
Request for grant funding of £1340 towards replacement windows in Esplanade Hall. Scheme.
RESOLVED: to recommend s.137 funding of £1340

F39/09 MANNINGTREE RAIL USERS ASSOCIATION
A request for a donation was received from MRUA.
RESOLVED: to recommend s.137 funding of £30

F40/09 HARWICH AND DISTRICT CRIME PREVENTION PANEL
A letter of thanks received from the Harwich and District Crime Prevention Panel was noted.

F41/09 EXCLUSIONOF PUBLIC AND PRESS
RESOLVED: that pursuant to Section 1 of Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 the meeting is closed to the press and public for the transaction of the under-mentioned business.
