E15/12 MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING
RESOLVED that the minutes of the Environment & Highways meeting held on 14th June 2012 (previously circulated) be approved by the Committee and signed by the Chairman as a true record.

E16/12 MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES
RESOLVED: Cllr Flavell to pass Cllr Bentleys response on the West End Recycling Facility to Full Council. Cllr R Callender to attend the next Highway Panel Meeting on 13th September.

E17/12 TREE WARDEN REPORT
M. Stanford gave a brief report on the Old Harwich area. RESOLVED: Request for 3 new trees to be discussed at next Meeting.

E18/12 RESIGNATION OF TREE WARDEN
RESOLVED: Clerk to send a letter of thanks to Stephanie Tyrer, vacancy to be raised at Full Council Meeting.

E19/12 PROPOSED PROJECTS FOR ENVIRONMENT SCHEMES/PROJECTS BUDGET
RESOLVED: Agreed to investigate costs for (1) Welcome Buoy on Blue Roundabout and (2) Geo-caching scheme for tourists – Clerk to contact Harwich Society to see if they will support.

E20/12 WINTER SALT BAG PARTNERHIP
RESOLVED: Cllr Day agreed to store the salt at Kingsway Hall and the Town Team to be contacted to collect bags within 48hrs of its arrival.

E21/12 CHAIRMANS REPORT
RESOLVED: The Chairman gave his report.

E22/12 MATTERS RECEIVED IN THE POST OR RAISED BY MEMBERS (for information only)
The Asda litter pick has been moved to Saturday 15th September 2012. Cllr Flavell invited Members to join him and will raise the invite at Full Council.

E23/12 TIME AND DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of the Environment & Highways Committee will be held on 1st November 2012, at The Guildhall, Church Street, Harwich at 7pm.

The Chairman closed the meeting at 7.37pm
