4 Matters Arising From the Minutes of the Last Meeting
To discuss and act upon information received following previous actions in relation to:
E37/21 – Bad Weather Conditions – To provide update on salt spreading following meeting of F&GP on 22nd Mar 22.

E40/21 – Flood Memorial Garden – To receive an update from Cllr Fowler following rebuilding of the memorial support.

5 Matters Arising From Previous Minutes
To discuss and act upon information received following previous actions in relation to:
– To report on progress in organising a meeting with Cllrs Fowler and Henderson and APSE Energy regarding audit for HTC.
6 Horticultural Report
To receive a report from the Horticultural Adviser and consider any necessary action.
7 Emergency Planning
To review feedback from TDC debrief meeting on 9th August 2021 and consider any necessary action.

To brief members on the proposals for safety measures at the Lee Road/Portland Avenue junction.

9 Litter Picking Initiative Update
• Deferred from last meeting (MIN E41/21) To agree a lead member to organise regular community litter picking events.
10 Emergency Guideline Cards
 • Deferred from last meeting (MIN E42/21) To consider setting up a small working party to carry out a review/update of the content and agree options for publicising the information.
11 Emergency Plan drill

To agree to arrange a drill for the HTC emergency Plan.

12 Matters Received in the Post or Items Raised by Members

• To note damage to council noticeboard during recent storms and repair costs of £32.43, authorised under delegated authority, for purchase of wood, to be expended from the E&C – Schemes & Projects budget.

13 Date of Next Meeting
The next meeting of the Environment & Community Committee is at 7pm, on a date to be confirmed at The Guildhall, Church Street, Harwich.

To consider quotations for the cleaning and repainting of the ‘Welcome to Historic Harwich’ sign on the seaward side of the sea wall along the Quay by the Ha’penny pier.
