Tendring Community Safety Partnership – Days of Action
The Tendring Community Safety Partnership are encouraging local community groups in Tendring to plan and hoist their own Community Day of Action (CDoA), aimed at tackling local issues of concern.
Legacy – leaving a positive impact on the community.
To make a successful application, groups will need to provide detailed information on the issuers that they would like to be addressed within their community, details of their community group or volunteers and the legacy that will remain, following the CDoA.
Priority will be given to those applications which can demonstrate they will be working towards the Community Safety Partnership priorities for 2018/19 –
- Tackling anti-social behaviour and acquisitive crime
- Protecting vulnerable people from hidden harm
- Reducing violence and knife crime
After the closing date, all applications will be reviewed by a panel made up from selected members of the Community Safety Partnership and a decision will be made on the successful application.
A CDoA will then take place in the successful community later i the year. Tendring Community Safety Partnership will be on hand to support community members in taking responsibility of the project, initiative or scheme that is to be left following a CDoA. Outcomes of the day will be used to determine and support what further action is required and resources will be allocated appropriately.
Successful applicants will also be able to apply to the Community Safety Partnership for up to £1,000 to support their CDoA and ongoing legacy, this will be reviewed by the panel when making a decision on the applications.
