Harwich and Dovercourt Business Grant Scheme
Tendring District Council are soon launching a new Harwich and Dovercourt Business Grant Scheme.
The scheme offers 50:50 match-funded grants, in arrears, to town centre businesses in Harwich and Dovercourt Bay to support improvements to appearance, inside and out. It is only open to independent firms (not national chains, banks or charity shops) within designated town centre areas.
Attached are maps of the relevant areas, which cover the old town part of Harwich and the town centre area of Dovercourt as identified in the Masterplan.
Grants could range from £100-£2,000, and the total pot is £20,000, which is funded from the Business, Investment and Growth Budget. This ties in with Tendring’s Corporate Plan and priorities, both as Tendring4Growth support for business and as one of the ‘Dovercourt Twenty’ projects identified within the Dovercourt Masterplan we adopted at Cabinet in July.
It also will help to rejuvenate the area in 2020 to tie in with Mayflower 400 commemorations.
