The Tendring Community Safety Partnership (CSP) is putting on the information sessions to help parents, guardians and carers get up to date with the Dark Web and internet safety. It includes facts and figures, and information on popular apps and how to make sure your children use them safely – and which to avoid. A final session takes place on March 15. It is aimed at those with children in Years 1-9 across the Tendring District. The event is free, but tickets should be booked by using the link princestheatre.ticketsolve.com

Reminder! Essex Safeguarding Children’s Board – new website
Partners are being invited to test and comment on a new ESCB website and Request for Support Portal so that any difficulties can be ironed out before the system ‘go live’. Completion of the testing and feedback survey is between 9am Monday 5 March until 6pm Friday 16 March.

To fully test the website and portal functionality and ease of use, please complete 3 tasks:
1) Tour the website https://www.essexeffectivesupport.org.uk/ and click available links and resources to see if it makes sense to you and goes to the place or resource you were expecting
2) Complete and submit a ‘made-up’ or anonymised online Request for Support form. It is best if you can complete all sections of the form as you would if it were real so that any errors in the form or system can be identified. You could use a family you’ve historically requested support for as long as you change the names and personal details so they can’t be identified.

Do NOT send real Requests for Support as this is a test system ONLY If you experience any technical problems accessing the website please email our IT Project Team at TechnicalHelpEffectiveSupportPortal@essex.gov.uk for advice and guidance
3) After looking through the website and submitting a completed Request for Support form, complete and submit the Feedback survey If you experience any problems accessing the feedback survey please email our Children & Families Hub Team Manager Vanessa.roberts@essex.gov.uk for assistance.

Life expectancy overall will have increased and the inequalities within and between our communities will have reduced. Every child and adult will be given more opportunity to enjoy better health and well-being’.
