  1. Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Deputy Returning Officer at the address shown in point 8. below during the hours of (8.45 a.m. to 5.15 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays and 8.45 a.m. to 4.45 p.m. on Fridays (excluding bank holidays)). Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and precautions to avoid the spread of infection, those seeking nomination papers are requested to alert the Deputy Returning Officer’s staff using the contact details in 8. below so that the papers can be provided at a mutually convenient time/day.
  2. Completed nomination papers must be delivered by hand to the Deputy Returning Officer at the address shown in point 8. below during the hours (8.45 a.m. to 5.15 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays and 8.45 a.m. to 4.45 p.m. on Fridays (excluding bank holidays)), from the date of this notice but not later than 4.00 p.m. on Thursday, 8th April 2021. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and precautions to avoid the spread of infection, those seeking to deliver nomination papers are requested to alert the Deputy Returning Officer’s staff using the contact details in 8. below so that the papers can be received at a mutually convenient time/day.
  3. The poll for this election will take place on Thursday 6 May 2021, between the hours of 7.00 a.m. and 10.00 p.m. Please visit https://www.tendringdc.gov.uk/PollingDaySafe for measures to make Polling Stations safe for voters and staff on Polling Day in the District of Tendring.
  4. Applications to be included in the electoral register to be used at this election must reach the Electoral Returning Officer at the address shown in point 8. below by 12 midnight on Monday 19 April 2021.
  5. Applications for, amendments to or cancellations of arrangements to vote by post or by proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the address shown in point 8. below by 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 27th April 2021, if they are to be effective for this election.
  6. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the address shown in point 8. below by 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 27th April 2021.
  7. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election applied for on grounds provided for in law, including, of a medical emergency or because of work/service reasons, which must have occurred after 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 27th April 2021, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the address shown in point 8. below by 5.00 p.m. on Thursday 6 May 2021.
